The vision of ACTS Around the World Ministry is for all East Lakers to have a heart for foreign missionaries, churches, and missions. This is accomplished by mobilizing the people of East Lake Community Church to express their faith by giving of themselves in service to others in cross-cultural ministry, and through the development of individuals who will invest themselves in this work as a full-time career.

Metro Outreach
Outreach to the Poor and Needy in the Columbia Metro Area

The ACTS Metro ministry exists to assist people in need within our community. This ministry has several sub-ministries. ACTS METRO focuses on children at Harbison West Elementary, where we support their mentoring program, provide clothing for the Swap Shop, and sponsor an Adopt A Family program at Christmas, Our new Family Mentoring program will assist families who are struggling with life issues. We also partner with Sharing God's Love both financially and with donations of food and specialty items as needed. ACTS Metro is financially supported by our annual fundraiser, "Going the Extra Mile" 5K, which will be held on May 30th, 2009. For more information about the 5K, please go to www.GEM5K.com. East Lake cares about our community, and we want to grow our ACTS Metro team even more, so that we can provide help to more people in the future.
