 Annual Business Meeting [August 8]
Please attend our annual business meeting on August 8th at 11:15 AM or 12:45 PM to discuss upcoming voting measures and the proposed budget for our next fiscal year. You will also meet the candidates for the Oversight Team. There will be time for questions and answers with the staff and leadership. Partners of East Lake (those who have completed Discover Your Church and were received into partnership) will be voting on these measures on Sunday, August 15th during our regular services. More information about these business items will be available in the lobby on August 1st. Contact Greta for more information.
 We love the Pike's! [August 15]
Kevin Pike, Lead Pastor of East Lake Community Church since 2002, has been called to a new position at Mariners Church in Irvine, California. His last Sunday at East Lake will be August 29, 2010. We want to celebrate the incredible times we have had with the Pike family over the years with a HUGE party! On Sunday, August 15 from 6-8 p.m., we will be sharing, laughing, eating, and enjoying a few surprises in honor of the Pike's. Trust me, you will not want to miss this. Just show up with a dessert that feeds 12 or more, and East Lake will provide the paper products and drinks. Don't let this chance to let Kevin, Julie, and the kids know just how much we all LOVE and APPRECIATE them!!!!
 Baptisms[August 29]
East Lake will be holding it's next baptism on Sunday, August 29th at 4:00 PM at the Burnz's home on Lake Murray. If you are interested in being baptized, please plan to attend our orientation classes:
• Baptism Orientation Class - 9th grade thru adults on Sunday, August 15th at 11:15 AM in the Student Room
• Amazing Race Class - 3rd thru 8th grade on Sunday, August 15th and 22nd at 3:00 PM in the Conference Room
