Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to wear while I attend?

Really, as long as your body is appropriately covered, you can come dressed as you are. We believe that it's okay to worship Jesus in comfortable clothes, so come in your favorite "rip-off" jeans, or that nasty stained t-shirt your wife won't let you wear. We just want you here!

What does East Lake believe (generally)?

We hold the basic tenants of the Evangelical Church. For specifics, take a look at our Beliefs Page .

What do you have for my kids?

We've got something for every one of your kids, regardless their age. There's a fully staffed nursery, as well as classes for toddlers and elementary and middle school students. For details check out our Ministries Page.

What kind of music/worship should we expect?

You shouldn't expect anything any different than what's on your local Christian radio station. We've got a mix of contemporary praise songs, hymns, and we're also not afraid of playing a little rock and roll (actually, we love it). If anything, be prepared to worship Jesus with excitement and passion!

How can I find out more about East Lake?

If you like free food, and want to find out more about East Lake, then the Newcomers Gathering is where you need to be. On the first Sunday of every month East Lake holds a luncheon for people who want to discover more about East Lake and how they can become a bigger part of what we do here. The free food starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm. You'll meet Kevin and other staff members, and kids are welcome too!
