Baptism [August 24]
Christians who understand what the Bible teaches about Christ's death and forgiveness, and have made a commitment to follow Him as their Lord and Savior are qualified to be baptized. Everyone being baptized will be required to attend a class or meet with a pastor to prepare for baptism. Our next baptism is August 24 (Orientation Class will be held August 10).

Group Life Conference 2008 [October 17 - 18]
Water. Oxygen. Community. As humans, we depend on a few core essentials. Water sustains our bodies. Oxygen invigorates our organs. And community nourishes our souls with acceptance, guidance, and encouragement. God designed us to live together, and that’s why group life is the heartbeat of the Church. This year’s 10th annual Group Life Conference: Essential for the Human Heart will help you and your team keep that heartbeat strong by rediscovering biblical community. To celebrate this incredible conference, East Lake is opening their doors to sponsor this event via satellite link.

Make a Difference in a Child's Life
ACTS Metro needs your help to make a difference in a child’s life. We need adults who can spend one hour a week with a child at Harbison West. This time will change your life and the life of a child’s. This time is not meant to do homework or babysitting. This time is meant for you to show love to a child and take an interest in them. The school offers areas to sit and talk, play games, have lunch with the child or read to them.
> Email Melissa if you are interested in becoming a Mentor.
